Welcome to EVA Travel
EVA Travel isn't just a tour company (although we offer fantastic tours in many places over the world). We're a community of like-minded travellers who recognise the value in getting out of your comfort zone to experience the real people and authentic parts of the places that you visit. We're people of all ages and from all walks of life who want to make a difference when we travel. We want to travel in a sustainable way and leave a positive impact on the community that has invited us to visit and engage in projects that they have determined will be of lasting use to them.
A volunteering trip with EVA Travel will take you beyond the typical tourist experience for your next holiday adventure. Although everyone is welcome to join an EVA tour, our community is largely comprised of people over 40 years of age. On an EVA tour you can do things like:

Work with pygmy elephants alongside the Wildlife Authority in Borneo

Track tigers and leopards in Nepal helping the Nepal Tiger Trust to support and protect the populations

Build wheelchairs in Cambodia to survivors of landmines and give them the gift of mobility

Volunteer at a kinship community centre in Tanzania or distribute reusable menstrual pads at a local school
-
Sit among the mountain gorillas for an hour in Uganda then track chimps in Rwanda

Join the community leaders in Morocco in rebuilding vital infrastructure after the 2023 earthquake
-
And there's so much more, each trip is uniquely curated to meet the needs of the individual project
It's not all work though, you can ride in a jeep in the Serengeti and watch the great migration, spend a night under the stars in the Moroccan desert, snorkel off the coast of Malaysian Borneo, sleep in a tea-house in Nepal and enjoy a morning of yoga or just sit back and enjoy the amazing scenery wherever we are.

What an amazing time with Sheila Fitzgerald. Our Cambodia / Laos (2025) adventure certainly didn’t disappoint! We saw and did so much from the very sad day at the S-21 museum and the Killing Fields, a dreadful history and not so long ago! Volunteered at the Cambodian Wildlife Sanctuary where we met Kavan the famous elephant rescued from Pakistan by Cher and many others! The Hero rats helping to eliminate some of the thousands of landmines still undetected! A very interesting afternoon helping to put together 3 wheel chairs paid for out of our fees and the following day delivering them to very deserving victims of landmines in local villages! So many wonderful experiences shared with a fabulous group!
